Bristol pupils raise £2,300 in a week
Pupils at Bristol Grammar School have raised £2,300 for the children's bereavement charity Winston's Wish during a charity week.
Youngsters came up with a variety of creative ways to raise money for the charity, including creating an arcade game. The inventive human fruit machine saw pupils take the place of the spinning reels of fruit, and all money bet on getting the right fruit combination went straight into the pocket of Winston's Wish.
Each term the school's BGS charity committee, made up of pupils in Year 9 and above and staff members, choose a different charity to support with their fundraising activities.
