Children and staff at St Mary Redcliffe Primary School were in the pink on the last day before the half-term holiday.

They held a Pink Friday fun day in support of Breast Cancer Care.

Pupils and teachers wore pink clothes to the school in Windmill Hill.

Head teacher Emma Payne said: "We were delighted that so many of our children and staff came dressed in pink to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

"We wore pink for our mums, sisters, daughters, grandmothers, aunts and cousins who we love, who are fighting this disease.

"The pink theme continued throughout the day –our collective worship was pink and for one day only our weekly praise certificates were pink. I would just like to say 'thank you' to all our parents and carers who have supported us."

Anyone who would like to organise a Pink Friday can get a free fundraising kit, by visiting www.breast cancercare.org.uk/pinkfridays or calling 0870 164 9422.
