A cannabis factory has been found and a large amount of cash seized in a police raid on a pub in Horfield.

The Fellowship pub in Filton Avenue was searched by officers just after 12.30pm yesterday.

A woman in her 50s was arrested and police seized a substantial amount of cash, drugs and drug paraphernalia. Officers could not say last night how many plants had been seized or what their estimated street value was.

The police have praised residents who raised concerns about the property in neighbourhood team meetings with local officers.

The raid is the latest in a number of police operations targeting pubs where drug activity is suspected.

In June another pub, the Foresters Arms in Westbury-on-Trym, was raided.

Police were still at the Fellowship last night and said their inquiries were continuing.
