Interactive learning sessions have been held with children in Bristol primary schools to teach them of the risks of using the internet.

Working in conjunction with the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP), PCSO Emma McDonnell took the sessions with Year 6 pupils at Millpond Primary, Baptist Mills.

They are designed to raise awareness of online grooming, bullying and exploitation.

In the sessions, Emma and the children discuss the pupils' online habits and they are shown videos highlighting the range of risks the internet can pose. PCSO McDonnell said: "Following recent incidents highlighted in the national press regarding the misuse of social networking sites, the Easton Neighbourhood Police Team believe it is vitally important that all children are made aware about the importance of internet safety."
