Police have released images of men they would like to speak to as part of their investigation into a robbery in the St James Barton underpass.

A group of friends were walking through the area at about 3.30am on Sunday, January 18, when they were approached by another group who assaulted them and stole a wallet, phone and other items.

Detective Constable Alasdair Collacott-Nuur said: "This was a frightening incident for the group of friends who were returning home after a night out enjoying themselves.

"Our inquiries are ongoing and CCTV images have been released of men who may have important information about the incident.

"I would urge anyone who witnessed the robbery or recognises these men to get in touch."

Four men aged between 16 and 18 and from the Bristol area have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail.

Anyone with information should contact the Bristol Robbery Team on 0845 456 7000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
