Bristol plumber Daniel Tripp, from Speedwell, gave chase after he spotted a man struggling with a woman in the street.

Daniel, 20, had just finished a job in Redfield when he heard the woman screaming that the man had burgled her home.

Daniel ran after the suspected burglar and called 999, helping police to make an arrest.

Daniel said: "I think it was totally out of instinct.

"I've got to give credit to the police for turning up so fast.

Comedian Eddie Large joked: "Whoever said you can't get a plumber when you need one?"
