“How many times has fuel been in crisis? and how many times has it been ok the following week? so how much money has this industry made from panic buying? There is no fuel shortage, but there is a powerful will to avoid very simple options for fuel. Ho2 fuel cells can be fitted to petrol cars reducing their cost per gallon of petrol.. (Engines running on WATER!!) There are many means to fueling cars which are not being pursued because they cant profit from them.... yet..!!

Panic buyers are the slaves to schemers.... Get on Youtube search for H02 fuel cells... then WAKE UP!!! to the fact we are always going to be controlled were resources are concerned.”

“It's been reported that a old fella' driving an equally old Nissan Micra was stopped by Police on the Motorway for speeding at 110mph. When asked why he was driving so fast, he said "I'm running low on Petrol and need to get to a Garage fast, before the tank runs dry".

The cops explained that he used a lot more fuel driving fast, than driving slowly say at 55-60mph, and let him off because of his age.

10 minutes later they pulled him in again for exceeding 100mph.

    Some people never learn !!”

"Although there isn't a strike, there is a fuel shortage and I have plenty of fuel. Yes I may of paid a few more pennies for it but I really don't care. Selfish? Oh yes. :)"

Well then your latest comment proves just what an idiot you really are. No need to comment further as anyone reading what you say will no doubt come to the same conclusion that you don't even realise that through your & others like you act of filling up your cars when there was no logical reason to do so, you are the cause of why filling stations ran out of fuel.

But as I said on an earlier post today I put my usual amount of fuel in my car to see me through to next week at a filling station in Shirehampton with no queuing, no supply problem & at the same price it was last week. I don't like to gloat but…told you so.”

    “@ StripeyJumper

On another story you warn against anyone attempting to break into your shed in order to steal your two jerry cans of fuel. By my reckoning, unless you have more than two, that's 40 litres which is far in excess of legal quantities. You also have two cars allegedly so even 40 litres would not get you far if you drive as you talk and you will still be queuing when the real shortage comes if it actually does.

It is the attitudes of motorists like you, selfish and complacent, that have caused this spate of panic buying and contributed to the general short term shortage of fuel.”

'Why would that make me feel stupid?'

For the simple fact you & others like you have forced up the price of fuel for starters by causing a shortage of supply & therefore demand.

Come on Stripey give it up, your losing credibility & making yourself look more & more foolish every time you post a comment. It's time to stop being bullish & concede you're comments do not hold up to the facts.”

"Why would that make me feel stupid?"

Along with many others, you have succumbed to what one psychologist described on the BBC News as a case of 'collective selfishness rather than panic buying' and you have, in your small way, contributed to the temporary fuel shortage by hoarding fuel.

I assume that you are not going to use either of your two cars or the illegally stored fuel between now and when the strike actually happens, that's always assuming it is going to happen. If you do, you will be consuming fuel which will need to be replaced and that could mean you joining another queue looking for fuel.

I would imagine that many of those who queued for a few litres of fuel, just to top up their tank, will be a little red-faced in the cold light of day and wonder if the hassle was worth it.”

No 'possible' strike by tanker drivers until after the Easter holidays.

Come on be honest you must be feeling pretty stupid now.”
