Two men were arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday morning after a man's body was discovered inside a property in Staple Hill.

The victim, who police say is in his 30s, was discovered at the building in Pleasant Road at around 7am.

Two local men aged 58 and 47 were arrested on suspicion of murder.

A spokeswoman for Avon and Somerset police said: "Police are investigating the death of a man in his 30s at an address in Staple Hill.

"Officers are treating this death as suspicious.

"Two local men aged 58 and 47 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in custody.

"Officers were called by ambulance crews at 7.20am to an address in Pleasant Road, Staple Hill.

"Anyone with any information should contact Staple Hill CID on 0845 456 7000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."

A spokesman for Great Western Ambulance said: "The service were called to an address in Staple Hill at 6.56am by someone who was concerned that a male was not breathing. Ambulance attended the scene and alerted police."
