Two friends from Bristol will compete against each other in the national finals of one of the country's biggest modelling competitions.

Gemma Webb, 24, of Fishponds, and Natasha Hudson, 23, of Brislington, are among the final 21 models in the Miss Flavour 2009 contest, which is in its third year.

They will be looking to impress judges in the final at Cafe de Paris in London's West End on November 11.

Both saw off competition from 100 other models to reach the finals of the competition after receiving enough text votes from supporters.

This year's winning model will represent Flavour magazine and use the title to promote herself in 2010.

Gemma, who has been a model for four years and had a cameo role in Bristol-based television series Skins, said: "The judges will be looking to see if we have style and if we are sassy – it's a bit like Miss England.

"The winner gets a modelling contract, a website designed for them, free clothing and gets invited to various events."
