Bristol man's abuse of community police officers
A 19-year-old Bristol man has been given a community order for continually abusing police officers.
David Goudou, of Ambleside Avenue, Southmead, admitted two counts of using threatening or abusive words and behaviour.
Prosecuting, May Li said on August 27 at 11.30pm, Goudou was seen in Canford Road, Westbury-on-Trym, looking in people's drives and gardens. As police officers approached him he started swearing and insulting them, even threatening to knock one of the officers out.
At about 11.45pm on September 3, Goudou and a couple of friends were causing problems in Henbury, Bristol Magistrates' Court heard. He shouted and swore at officers, calling them "pigs", and said they would never catch him as he went in and out of the alleys off Crow Lane.
With his latest offences, Goudou breached a conditional discharge and also failed to surrender to court on September 25.
Mitigating, Will Palmer said incidents had happened when Goudou was drunk.
District Judge Joti Bopa-Rai imposed a one-year community order, with requirements for supervision, drug and alcohol treatment and education and employment training.
She said: "Drink seems to be the major problem in your case, and sometimes drugs."
