Bristol man run over twice after row
A 24-year-old man was run over twice by a car in Cadbury Heath.
Two men, believed to be brothers, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent in connection with the incident in The Grove, Cadbury Heath, on Sunday evening.
The injured man suffered a broken leg and suspected liver and spleen injuries. Avon and Somerset police said the man is believed to have been run over by a man driving a silver Seat Leon car after a dispute.
A second man then got into the car, which was reversed back over the injured man's body.
Horrified neighbours gathered in the cul-de-sac as the injured man lay on the ground until an ambulance arrived.
One neighbour, who witnessed the incident but asked not to be named, said: "It was absolutely horrific.
"I heard a lot of shouting and a car revving its engine, which made me look out the window.
"Then I saw a car drive towards the man, who was standing next to a wall. The car mounted the pavement and hit the man.
"Another man got in the car and it drove back over him before speeding off."
The neighbour said the injured man was a popular person in the neighbourhood who always said hello.
She said: "All the residents in the street wish him well and hope he gets better soon." The incident happened at about 6pm but was not reported to police until after 9pm.
Police spokeswoman Catherine Foster said: "The victim was involved in a dispute and was then hit by a car."
