Bristol man hunted over dog attack
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Bristol man accused of being the owner of a pit bull terrier that attacked another dog walker and his pet.
Anthony White, of Stradlings Yard, Little Paul Street, Kingsdown, is charged with being in possession of the dog at Clarence Place and that it injured another dog walker and his dog on June 12.
The 47-year-old is also charged with not having his dog on a lead or wearing a muzzle as required by the Dangerous Dog Act 1991.
No pleas have yet been entered to the charges.
Magistrates at Bristol heard White had been informed by post 14 days ago that he needed to attend court. Magistrates granted the prosecution a warrant without bail for his arrest.
