A Bristol man has admitted giving an underage child alcohol and using threatening language towards a police officer.

Bristol Magistrates Court heard yesterday that Michael Lawrence gave an underage child a drink from his pint of beer at the Pilgrim pub in Brislington on March 18.

The landlord called the police, and the court heard that 38-year-old Lawrence, of Sunny Bank, was "less than cooperative with the officers".

The case was adjourned until October 21 for a pre-sentence report.
