Bristol hotel plans ice rink
Skaters will be able to glide over ice while looking at stunning views of the Avon Gorge in the run-up to Christmas.
The Avon Gorge Hotel has announced plans for an outdoor ice rink with views over the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
It will be built on the terrace of the landmark Hotel and will cover eight square metres.
Festive revellers will be able to skate until Christmas Eve from 12pm to 8pm Monday-Wednesday and from 12pm to 10pm Thursday-Sunday.
Mark Passmore, Avon Gorge Hotel manager, said: "Whether you are an expert or novice, outdoor ice skating at the hotel will make for a fun, festive and unforgettable experience.
The rink will open on Monday and sessions last an hour.
Prices include skate hire, with tickets costing £6 for adults and £4 for children.
