Bristol to host Iraq inquiry meeting
Bristol is one of the locations chosen for a series of meetings with veterans and soldiers' relatives by a team investigating the war in Iraq.
Yesterday families of servicemen killed in the conflict met with members of the inquiry in London. A second meeting was due to take place today for veterans.
Further meetings will be held across the country, with a two-hour meeting at the City Inn hotel in Temple Way on October 23.
The inquiry team wrote to all of the British families who lost loved ones during the Iraq conflict and about 50 said they would like to take part in the meetings.
The Iraq Inquiry will examine the period from 2001 to the end of July 2009. It will consider the UK's involvement in Iraq, how decisions were made and will identify lessons that can be learned.
