A row with the neighbours after a night at the bingo landed a Stockwood grandmother in court.

Caroline Hobbs claimed she was the victim of harassment when she appeared at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The defendant, 51, of Dutton Road, claimed she had dog mess posted through her door.

But she pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour after giving her alleged harassers a piece of her mind.

Magistrates gave her a conditional discharge for six months, even though Hobbs was already in breach of a previous conditional discharge for being in charge of a vehicle last December.

She was also ordered to pay £60 costs.

The incident took place at around 9.30pm on May 13 in Dutton Road.

Nisha Patel, prosecuting, said the defendant had shouted abuse outside neighbours' homes an the police were called.

She said: "She had been out playing bingo at Hengrove Leisure Park and drinking all day."

Hobbs represented herself in court. She said: "There's been a long-running dispute with the neighbours, I've been intimidated."

She added: "It's still going on, there was dog mess put through my door."

She said the council was involved and she wanted to be moved.
