Bristol golf sensation Chris Wood has opened new facilities at Filton College's Golf Academy.

These include Britain's largest indoor driving range as well as a 30 foot square all-weather putting green.

Wood, 21, from Long Ashton, cut the ribbon and had the honour of hitting the first putt on the green.

It has been installed to give the students unlimited practice time outside of their lessons, to sharpen up their skills, and compete against each other in the putting league.

The launch event included a pitching competition, simulated golf course competition and a core strength and balance competition.
