Bristol golfer Chris Wood excited about his chances in the Qatar Masters
Bristol golfer Chris Wood's final round 64 - the joint lowest score of the day - means he leads the Qatar Masters by three shots going into the final day.
He is being chased by a strong field, including former major winner New Zealander Michael Campbell and a host of Ryder Cup players including Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose and Martin Kaymer.
But he is excited about the prospect of capturing his maiden European Tour win at the Doha Golf Club, having won on the Asian Tour in Thailand last August.
The 25-year-old from Bristol said: "I feel really happy around this course and it's nice to put a low number on the scorecard.

"I'm making progress every year I'm out here and eventually I'm going to win one of these events and, hopefully, many more after that. It is hard to win any tournament, never mind a European Tour event.
"It is going to be difficult, but I'm really excited about being in contention in the final round tomorrow. I hope to look back on that win in Thailand and draw on that tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to the challenge."
Wood who has been hampered over the last few seasons with a niggling back injury, praised the work done by a team of physiotherapists and physical instructors back in Bristol.
He added: "With their help I'm managing the problem but it means gym sessions probably twice a day and a lot of work on my core strength."
