Bristol golfer Chris Lloyd caps his fine year with another title
Bristol golfer Chris Lloyd completed a marvellous season when he claimed the English County Champions Tournament crown at Woodhall Spa on Sunday.
"This has been my best year so far and I hope there are more good results to come next year," said the 17-year-old after he won his fifth title of 2009.

"My handicap is now plus four, which is among the lowest of any junior in Britain and Ireland."
Lloyd found success at the English Golf Union headquarters all the more satisfying as he competed against county champions of all ages.
Two of his four previous wins – in the South West Championship and the Henry Cooper Masters – were against boys his own age.
His other successes came in the Gloucestershire Championship, which he won by eight shots at Filton, and the West of England Fourball at The Kendleshire.
"It was a good win at Woodhall but I should have wrapped it up in the morning round," he said. "I was cruising at three under after six holes and then made a triple bogey seven when I was caught in the gorse."
But he still finished with a four-under-par 69 with eight birdies and one further dropped shot when he three-putted the last.
"I found the second round more of a battle but I played some great shots coming down the stretch and my putter was working well throughout the day," he said.
He made three birdies in the final five holes to edge a shot clear of Matthew Southgate (Essex) for a round of 71 and total of 140. Making a birdie on the par-five 18th was the decisive moment.
He said: "It started for me on the par-five 14th, where I hit my second to 10-feet and made birdie.
"Then I also birdied the 16th to get to five under and the one at the last sealed it."
Lloyd, who was also a member of the winning Boys Home Internationals and Jacques Leglise teams, might have seen even more success but he lost a marathon five-hole play-off to Tom Lewis for the Carris Trophy.
He is determined to win it next year when it is staged at Woodhall Spa, which, as he proved on Sunday, is one of his favourite courses.
He also has another reason to celebrate as he has just passed his driving test, much to the joy of his parents and chauffeurs Rod and Libby.
