The shopping centre asked shoppers to nominate people for the 'Charity Star 2008' award, and entries flooded in.

The winner, Paul Hobbs, received his award at a ceremony in the centre.
Paul, 59, who lived in Knowle until recently, has just moved to Weston-super- Mare.
For the past three years, he has organised Meningitis UK's Summer Stroll, which sees volunteers walking from Bath to Bristol, and has raised £51,000.
Paul, who works in advertising for Greenpark Publishing, also recently received the Lord Mayor's medal.
Before his fundraising for Meningitis UK, Paul raised large amounts of money for several other charities including St Peter's Hospice, CLIC, and Cancer Research UK.
Paul said: "I have always been one of those people who gets a lot of satisfaction out of helping people.
"This type of work is part of my life now, and it is great to have my efforts recognised."
Tim Moloney, centre manager at Broadwalk Shopping Centre, said: "Paul's dedication to Meningitis UK is obvious for all to see and he is a true Charity Star."
