Bristol footballer drove while disqualified 'to make training'
A Bristol footballer was caught driving while disqualified as he desperately tried to make a training session.
Mangotsfield United player Kyle Tooze, aged 18, of Charlton Road, Kingswood, was already banned from driving on January 2 for aggravated vehicle taking.
The former Bristol City and Bristol Rovers youth player admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance, but said he had only borrowed the car because he feared he would be dropped or fined by the club if he did not make training.
Magistrates endorsed his driving licence with six penalty points and added an extra 50 hours on to the unpaid work requirement of his existing community order. He remains disqualified from driving until January 1.

“christ you lot are absolutely pathetic, he's a local footballer who gets a bit of extra cash for playing football - would you rather he was on benefits - we dont all live in an ideal world and you have no idea about his personal situation. yeah hes made a mistake - and a big one at that but does it really warrant your bitchy comments? maybe you should find a sport you are passionate about and maybe you'd find a bit of compassion. or at least keep your petty comments to yourselves.”

“What a plonker! Why didn't he get a taxi or arrange a lift with someone else? He should invest in a DS brain training game!!”
