Bristol firms bid for Russian jet contract
Boeing and Airbus have submitted bids for a $2.5 billion contract to supply as many as 65 narrow-body passenger jets for Rosavia, Russia's new state-run airline.
United Aircraft Corp, Russia's state aerospace holding, is also taking part in the tender, according to Russian Technologies Corp, Rosavia's parent company.
The result of the tender will be announced on December 20, the company said. The contract includes delivery of 50 new planes and the right to buy 15 more.
