In June 2008, a Bristol business that began in a garden shed, is now moving into its third new premises in five years.

AJ Trimmers – a family-run upholstery and trimming business – now operates from a 3,441-sq ft premises at South Liberty Lane industrial estate.

Ryan Ball, managing director of AJ Trimmers said: "I am confident we shall continue to expand and, when we move again, I am sure we will find the right premises somewhere in the Bristolworks cluster."

The company, which has taken a 10-year lease, was founded in a small garden shed back in November 2003. Part-time work repairing bus and coach upholstery rapidly expanded into a thriving, full-time business with permanent staff as the quality of its work became known and demand grew.

The firm moved into larger premises in Bishopsworth in 2005, but swiftly outgrew it, and has now moved into Segro's South Liberty Lane in order to continue its expansion.

The working space enables them to bring vehicles into the workshops to be worked on, and includes custom-built working areas to enable fast turnaround times. This allows them to continue to complete their work to the highest standard.
