Bristol cyclist appeals for return of £8,000 mountain bikes
A cycling enthusiast is appealing for help in tracing three mountain bikes worth a total of £8,000 that were stolen when his house was burgled.
Chris Reed said he was "absolutely devastated" to find the bikes had been taken when he had been away from his home in Lower Knowle for three hours on Tuesday night.
His pride and joy, a Cannondale Raven 4000SL worth £3,500, was taken from his bedroom.
The 35-year-old said: "I went out with my girlfriend by taxi at 8pm and came back at 11.30pm to find they had gone in through the front door and taken the bikes."
Anyone who may have seen people with the bikes on Tuesday night, in the area off St John's Lane, Lower Knowle should call the police on 0845 4567000.
There is a £500 reward for any information that leads to the recovery of the bikes.

“I doubt the raven would be worth 3.5k now being nearly 10 years old”
