A Bristol bride-to-be with her heart set on a Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes style wedding has allowed her fiance to plan her whole wedding day for a reality TV show.

Tonight Wayne and Leanne Williams, from Hartcliffe, feature in Don't Tell The Bride, which gives the groom and his best friends free rein as wedding organisers.

The young couple, who could not afford to get married, were given a budget of £12,000 to organise their dream wedding.

Mr Williams had to judge his fiancee's taste in everything from her perfect wedding dress to her ideal ring, choice of venue and even the music.

The new Mr and Mrs Williams, agreed in the presence of a lawyer to live apart and not talk to each other for three weeks until they met at the altar in May.

Don't Tell The Bride is on BBC Three, tonight at 9pm.
