Bristol councillor swore and stormed out
A Bristol town councillor has been found guilty of misconduct after swearing at his fellow councillors.
Bradley Stoke councillor Jon Williams' outburst came as he stormed out of a meeting in disgust at a decision that had been made.

Bristol councillor Jon Williams swore and stormed out
He accused his colleagues of making a decision on youth work without referring to evidence and told stunned colleagues, "You are unable to make an educated decision." He then swore.
His comments were reported to South Gloucestershire Council's standards committee, which ruled last month that he had breached the councillors' code of conduct by "failing to treat others with respect" and "bringing his office or authority into disrepute".
Mr Williams, who is also a South Gloucestershire councillor, made the remarks in December last year after Bradley Stoke Town Council had voted in favour of conducting a review to decide which organisation should be offered the contract to provide youth work in the area.
At the time he was treasurer of the Southern Brooks Community Partnership (SBCP), a charity which had a long-standing contract to provide the youth work.
Shortly after the meeting, Mr Williams forwarded an email apology to councillors.
It said: "It was unacceptable and I shouldn't have said it. I still think you made the wrong decision based on absolutely no evidence and will do the youth in the town no favours at all."
The standards committee found that Mr Williams had also breached the code of conduct by failing to declare a personal and prejudicial interest during a council decision which affected the financial interests of the SBCP.
Mark Forsyth, chairman of Bradley Stoke Town Council, said Mr Williams had resigned from his position at SBCP earlier this year to avoid a conflict of interests.
He said that following the review, SBCP had again been offered the contract to provide youth workers in the area at Brook Way Activity Centre from October.
Mr Forsyth said Mr Williams, who has the chance to appeal the ruling, was a good councillor with the interests of the community at heart.
He said: "He is a very good councillor, whether you agree with him or not.
"He wanted to ensure the young people in the community got the best deal."
Mr Forsyth added: "As a council we have moved on.
"It's a clean slate and we are getting on with doing the best we can for Bradley Stoke." Mr Williams said last night "I have lived with this for the past seven or eight months.
"The meeting was fairly heated and I thought the Conservative councillors were acting in a despicable way. They hadn't read the papers in front of them and I felt they were misled by one of their colleagues.
"This was going on for over three or four minutes.
"I was getting wound up. They decided to go straight to the vote and I felt totally ignored.
"I was the lone Lib Dem councillor. Everybody else seemed to be against me and basically, I lost it.
"I left the meeting, drove home and immediately logged on to my computer and sent an apology to all the people who were at the meeting.
"Yes, I said the wrong thing, but as far as I was concerned I had apologised and the case was closed."
