Maths will be in the spotlight at a conference at City of Bristol College on April 29.

It will demonstrate and explore the imaginative link between maths and storytelling through lectures and practical workshops.

The conference will also look at the need for a cross-curricular approach to teaching maths.

The event at the College Green Centre is aimed at those working in nurseries, children's centres, primary schools and local authorities.

Among the speakers will be story teller Cassandra Wye, Steve Chinn, an expert with 40 years of teaching experience, and Elizabeth Carruthers, co-author of Children's Mathematics.

Shirine Borbor, events and conferences manager at the college, said: "This conference will be a great chance for delegates to learn more creative ways of engaging their pupils and students."

For a booking form, call Shirine on 0117 312 5851 or email thebristolconferences@cityofbristol. ac.uk.
