Bristol company Trunki wins national business of the year award
Bristol company Trunki has won a "business of the year" title at a national awards ceremony.
After being made a CBE for his services to business this year, Rob Law and the company he founded won the award for small to medium-sized business of the year in the National Business Awards last night.
The Bristol entrepreneur’s ride-on hand luggage suitcases for children rose to prominence after being featured on Dragon’s Den in 2006.
Even though the Dragons all refused to back him and gave his designs a very public mauling, Rob went on to use the experience as motivation to turn the business he started in his spare room into a huge success.
