City of Bristol College is looking to recruit young people from across Bristol and the surrounding area to take part in a new volunteering scheme.

Vtalent is a full-time course aimed at 16- to 25-year-olds, which results in a Level 2 qualification in Community Volunteering. The scheme has been launched through a grant from v, the National Young Volunteers' Service, and follows research showing that one in three young people would consider full-time volunteering.

Students will work closely with Jessica Porter, the college's Volunteer Support Worker to plan, deliver and review volunteering activities.

Ms Porter said: "We're delighted to be launching this new and unique programme, which will help volunteers to develop their skills while making a meaningful difference to the college and local communities."

Those interested in taking part should contact Jessica Porter on 0117 312 2801 or email vtalent@cityofbristol.ac.uk.
