Bristol colleagues help Paul launch ride
Colleagues of a Bristol man left with one arm and one leg after illness have raised almost £1,000 to help him get on the road.
Paul Burden, who works for Orange in Aztec West in Almondsbury, wants to raise £500,000 for Cancer Research UK by making the trip from Land's End to John O'Groats.

Mr Burden, 49, lost his left leg in 1974 aged 13 to bone cancer and his right arm this year to a flesh-eating bug.
He is having to raise £4,000 for a specially adapted bike so he can complete the 857-mile bike ride.
On September 17 colleagues at Orange raised almost £3,000 for three chosen charities after a fun day in Winterbourne.
Thirty teams of six took part at the Ramada Grange Hotel with events including tug of war, space hopper racing, a four-legged race and cracker eating.
There was also a school fete with stalls with bottle tombola, a coconut shy, climbing wall, bric-a-brac, and a sweet shop.
In the evening there was a live band and raffle with prizes that had been donated by local employers.
Prizes included a magnum of Krug champagne, two tickets for Bristol Rovers and a track day at Castle Combe.
In total £2865.66 was raised with equal sums of £955.22 going to Mr Burdens, Barnardos and the Alzheimer's Society.
Mr Burden is hoping to complete his challenge in 2011 with his good friend Steve Hawkins.
