Bristol charities can benefit from your old banger - just donate it to Giveacar
Got an old car that you don't want and don't know what to do with? By donating it to Giveacar you can make money for a charity of your choice, including several in Bristol.
Wells-based The Scrivener Trust, which gives short-term help to people who have fallen on hard times, is the latest local charity to sign up to the scheme.
The trust's chairman is asking Bristol folk to give up their old bangers to help his cause. Richard Thomas said: "This is a simple and effective way of attracting a new source of donations as well as reducing the amount of unwanted or unused cars lying around. It's a win-win for everyone involved."
Unwanted cars are collected free-of-charge and either sold through an online auction, or disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. Proceeds are donated to a charity of the donor's choice. A list of charities can be found on the website www.giveacar.co.uk.
