An Easton martial arts instructor and ex-cage fighter has found a new talent in writing.

Kevin O'Hagan, who has 33 years of experience as a martial artist and has trained top fighters, special forces and bodyguards, has now turned his hand to fiction.

His book, A Sting in the Tale, is a collection of gruesome modern-day horror stories, each with a twist or a shock ending.

Mr O'Hagan, who left school without any formal qualifications, has written books on fitness but this is his debut in horror, a subject that has fascinated him from childhood.

He will be talking about his book at a launch at 7pm on September 18.

During the evening he will chat about writing, training and his experiences, and also hold a question and answer session.

There will also be a book signing and a chance to purchase any of his products.

The launch, which is free to attend, will be held at the Rosegreen Leisure Centre, 65 Gordon Road, Whitehall, BS5 7DR.
