Bristol bricklayer caught with drugs
An unemployed bricklayer from Brislington has pleaded guilty to the possession of cannabis at Bristol Magistrates Court .
Simon Holder, of Sherwell Road, was found to have 2.45 grams of cannabis in his possession at Southmead police station, on December 20, 2008, after being arrested for an unrelated matter.
The court heard how the 19-year-old was being aggressive on arrival at the police station, and was taken straight into a cell.
He then started to remove his trousers and threw them at police officers. A bag of "green vegetable matter" then fell from his clothes.
Holder, who is living with his mother, who is supporting him, said that the drug was for his own personal use.
He was ordered to pay a £75 fine, plus a £15 victim surcharge within 28 days.
