Bristol boxer Haskins set for big showdown with rival Broadhurst
Bristol's Lee Haskins is set to meet arch-rival Don Broadhurst in a battle of Britain's best super flyweights.
The British Boxing Board of Control have put the contest out to purse bids and the match to establish the country's best eight-stone fighter will happen before the end of January.

Installed as mandatory challenger for the British title, Birmingham-based Broadhurst is also expected to put his Commonwealth championship belt on the line in a winner-takes-all clash.
Haskins was hoping to fight for the European crown before making the second defence of the Lonsdale Belt he won when out-pointing Andy Bell in November last year. But he has now shelved those plans in order to accommodate Broadhurst, the former Commonwealth Games gold medallist, probably in the early part of next year.
The deadline for purse bids expires next Wednesday and Bristol-based promoter Chris Sanigar is doing his utmost to stage the contest in the West.
He confirmed: "Lee's next fight will be a defence of his British title against Broadhurst. We're doing everything we can to give our man home advantage and we're confident we can put forward a good bid.
"This is the fight a lot of people in this country want to see and it has all the makings of being a real cracker.
"Broadhurst is a very good boxer, but Lee is the more experienced of the two and we feel confident he will be too good."
Rival promoter Frank Warren manages the Commonwealth champion and Haskins will almost certainly be called upon to defend his title outside of his home city.
But the Lockleaze man is accustomed to taking the show on the road, having contested and won his last three fights in the north of England.
"If we have to travel again, then that won't worry us," said Sanigar.
"Lee has proved that he can go into the other guy's backyard and do the business and he can do it again."
