Bristol bike club in pet food 'run'
BRISTOL and Avon Roadrunners MCC is more than just a place for bike enthusiasts to meet and enjoy organised rides. Its members also do good works for charity. For example, last Sunday, members – aboard 64 bikes – escorted a van loaded with pet food to Bath and Bristol dogs and cats homes.
Among the other good causes the group supports is the National Association for Bikers with a Disability. If you'd like to join this friendly club, it meets on a Wednesday evening at the Colosseum Pub on Redcliff Hill in Bristol at about 8.30pm.
At least one run out a month is usually arranged, but members also support other clubs' runs. The next Roadrunners event is on February 24, meeting at 11am at the Colosseum for "John's Mystery Tour", which will take all day.
