A women's barbershop harmony group based in Fishponds is looking for new singers to hit the high notes.

The Avonbelles chorus was formed in 1975 by a group of nine women.

Growing over the years, the chorus is now a member of the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers and regularly takes part in an annual national competition, having won several medals.

The chorus is confident of going from strength to strength and is looking for new singers to join and be involved in the many concerts it performs at throughout Bristol and even internationally.
