James Taverner hit an unbeaten 50 and Sam Bracey scored 49 to help Winterbourne record a 107-run win over Bitton in the South Gloucestershire group of the Nationwide Building Society Under-15 National Cup.

Callum Brown also hit an undefeated 33 as Winterbourne posted an impressive 157-2 in their second round tie. It proved far too many for Bitton, who could only reach 50-3 to lose by 107 runs.

Jon Roper also made an unbeaten half-century as Hanham (148-3) overcame Frenchay by 47 runs, while Sam Warner (50 not out) and Bobby Naeem (48) gave Coalpit Heath (133-3) the platform for their 50-run win over Thornbury (83-3). Chipping Sodbury B (70-0) cruised past Frampton Cotterell (67-7) by 10 wickets.

In the Bristol group, Zac Piper hit an unbeaten 44 as Bishopston B reached 122-5 and then dismissed Stoke Bishop for 77 to claim a 45-run win, while Bishopston A (54-1) disposed of Portishead (53-5) by nine wickets.

G Bacon took 4-7 and J Spence 2-6 for Bristol YMCA to restrict Stapleton to 96-7. C Murphy then hit an unbeaten 44 as YMCA reached 99-1 to win by nine wickets, and Brislington progressed against Knowle on the toss of a coin.

There was some tight encounters in the Urban Windows Under-15 Cup with Portishead's total of 91 all out proving just beyond Nailsea, who reached 90-7 to lose by just one run.

K Smith's haul of 4-7 helped Coalpit Heath A (60-8) beat Frenchay (54ao) by two wickets, while Shirehampton dismissed Bristol West Indians for 61 and then got home (62-9) with a wicket in hand. Bishopston A (77-2) found things a little easier as they beat their club's B side (76-8) by eight wickets.

In the Under-15 League Section A, Rockhampton (54-0) cruised past Patchway (53ao) by 10 wickets, and Bristol Phoenix (67-9) had a 35-run win over Dyrham & Hinton (32ao) in Section B.

Though Dominic Blake made 45 for Twyford House (96-7) in Section D, R John hit an unbeaten 39 to help Bedminster reach 97-1 and get home by nine wickets. Bristol YMCA B (92-2) were eight-wicket winners over Brislington (91-1) in Section F.

Vir Lakhani's unbeaten 27 helped Frenchay post 97-7 in their Under-11 League Section B game. It proved just too much for Bristol Phoenix, who finished on 96-4 to lose by one run despite an undefeated 24 from Jo Cull.

In Section C, Jermale Douglas made an unbeaten 26 as Bristol West Indians reached 105-6, and Cole Pierre then took 4-7 as Stapleton (77ao) were beaten by 28 runs.

In the first round of the Dave McCarthy Under-11 KO Cup, Patchway (63-7) beat Chipping Sodbury B by three wickets and Pak Bristolians (45-1) were nine wicket victors against Frampton Cotterell (44-7).

In the Under-13 League Section C, Carsons-Mangotsfield (64-4) beat Bradley Stoke (63-3) by six wickets and Hambrook (63-2) defeated Thornbury Green (61-9) by eight wickets.

Will Stabb hit 50 not out as Frenchay Green (111-3) beat Whitchurch B (73-5) by 38 runs in Section D, where Brislington (121-3) overcame Hanham (90-7) by 37 runs.

Nailsea (136-2) beat Stoke Bishop B (80-4) by 56 runs in Section E and Charlie Ferris' unbeaten 63 helped Nailsea B (125-2) to a 51-run victory over Lodway (74-6) in Section G.

Downend (95-5) dismissed Rockhampton for just 23 to claim a 72-run victory in the first round of the Frank Benner Under-13 KO Cup, and Tristan Bacon's undefeated 32 helped Bristol YMCA (51-3) beat Bedminster (47-9) by seven wickets in their first round tie in the Bristol section of the MCC Spirit of Cricket National Cup. Stoke Bishop B (76-2) got past Whitchurch (75-9) by eight wickets.

In the Gloucestershire section, Chipping Sodbury A (98-2) beat Coalpit Heath (79-9) by 19 runs.

In the Under-17 League Section A, Harry Kitchen captured 4-28 and B White 3-4 to restrict Almondsbury to 98-9 in pursuit of Old Down's 137-5.
