Seven more Bristol University students have caught swine flu
All the affected students are in isolation in private accommodation in Bristol and are already receiving antiviral drugs.
The university said more cases could come to light as investigations continue and contact tracing is extended.
The advice yesterday from the Health Protection Agency and NHS Bristol was that the University can remain open.
Staff and students are being reminded to be vigilant and should they develop flu- like symptoms, the advice of the Health Protection Agency is to contact their GP by telephone or NHS Direct on 0845 4647.
Students are being asked not to visit GP surgeries or hospital if they do have flu-like symptoms. Each case will be assessed and, if necessary, testing and treatment will be provided.

“It's entirely possible that I had it when at Uni, too. Tired, lethargic, sore head... aye, sounds very familiar.”

“Its only a matter of time then before everyones got it lol! It doesn't seem that bad anyway. I just feel for the already sick and less healthy individuals who may catch it. Thats where the risk of death lies.”

“The rise in numbers of students affected by swine flu seems to have coincided with the increase of sales in pork scratchings in the uni. bars.”
