FISHPONDS OB's successful reserve team boss Chris Towill has been promoted to caretaker manager of the first team and saw his charges twice lead before having to settle for a 2-2 draw against Ashton United in Premier I.
Josh Sergeant and Japer Taylor scored for Fishponds, with Steve Tarrant and Joe Charlton replying for Ashton.

Champions St Aldhelms reclaimed top spot in the table, one point clear of Teyfant Athletic, with a 4-0 victory over South Glos (Hambrook) at Headley Park thanks to two goals each by Chris Canning and James Dunn.
Teyfant are still unbeaten after a 3-3 draw at Broad Plain House. Luke Picton, with his seventh goal in three games, Craig White and Ben Kington scored for House.
Two goals by leading scorer James Donegal and a Kevin Seacole strike gave third-placed CTK Southside a 3-1 home win against Avonmouth, while Luke Bartley scored the only goal of the game for Stoke Gifford United at Almondsbury Reserves.
Winford PH and Almondsbury Town Reserves drew 1-1 with both goals coming in the last 10 minutes. Wayne Rose gave Winford the lead, only for Connor Britton to equalise in the 85th minute
Stuart New (2) and Tony Minzie were the Glenside Five OB marksmen in a 3-2 victory at Old Georgians, who replied through Clive Hartrey and Chris King.
The two top teams in Premier II both won 3-0 away from home, leaders Cadbury Heath Reserves beating TC Sports and Southmead Athletic defeating Severn Beach.
Lockleaze won 5-2 at Brislington A, their third successive five-goal haul. Kyle Thomas, with his first goal for the club, and Josh Charles netted for Brislington.
Jack Chapman, Mike Hall and Ryan Weeks shot Ridings High to a 3-1 victory over St Aldhelms Reserves, while Steve Webster's early penalty saw Wessex Wanderers beat Bristol North West 1-0.
Adam Young followed up his hat-trick of the previous weekend with two more goals for Old Cothamians, 5-4 winners over Whitchurch at Canford Park. John Bainbridge and brothers Chris and Simon Bone completed the scoring.
