● Former Seymour United player Stuart Detheridge has taken over from Simon Snartt as fixture secretary of the Bristol & Suburban League.

Long-serving referee Rod Green has been appointed to the new post of match card secretary, while Derek Cumner will continue to receive results and goal scores for his weekly report in the Evening Post.

Ashton United secretary Tony Mattock has stood down from the league's management committee after more than 30 years and is replaced by Mark Fellows, of Corinthian Sports, but sadly missed through illness is refereee secretary Alan Evans, who is recovering in hospital.

● The amalgamation of Talbot Knowle and Knowle United to form Talbot Knowle United was marked by a celebration game between former players of both clubs at Somerdale, with the Knowle Vets winning 4-3 against the Talbot Old Boys. Nicky Fox hit a hat-trick for the winners.

After the game, a trophy was presented to Knowle's secretary Vic Powell, who has been with the club since 1946 and will continue his association with the new set-up.
