Bristol Storm women maintained their recent hot streak of form with a 92-37 win over Plymouth.

The City Academy-based side started brightly and a nine-point haul by Emilie Ravn helped the Storm take control with a 20-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The Storm maintained their grip on the game in the second quarter and extended their advantage to 48-18at the break, with Ines Alberquerque and Kat Lautonen both scoring from three-point territory to add to a basket from Lizzy Henderson. Determined defensive play from Ali Quinn, Tracie Colborn and Nicole Royal kept Plymouth out.

The strong defensive stand continued in the third, before Fiona Fox broke away to convert for two. Coach Steve Brocklehurst made four changes in a bid to liven things up and was immediately rewarded as Quinn scored one of two from the line after being fouled. Alberquerque scored another three and Henderson added to her tally to give the Storm a 64-26 lead.

The Storm maintained the tempo in the final quarter and further scores from Ravn, Alberquerque, Henderson and Royal increased the advantage before Colbron hoisted home a three-point attempt right on the buzzer to complete the scoring.
