Bristol Rovers waiting on fitness of new signing Blizzard
Bristol Rovers will assess the fitness of new signing Dominic Blizzard before Saturday's friendly at Torquay United.
Midfielder Blizzard, who joined the Pirates from Stockport County, was recently hit by flu, which delayed the medical he needed to complete his transfer from Edgeley Park.

Bristol Rovers coach Paul Trollope, who will take his players to a two-day training camp in Cornwall before the match at Plainmoor, said: "We are trying to ease Dominic into things because he was ill for 10 days before he came here.
"We will be increasing his workload this week and he will travel to Cornwall with us. We will assess his situation regarding Saturday's match later on."
Rovers are hoping to strengthen further before their Coca-Cola League One campaign begins against Leyton Orient on August 8, but Trollope says fans may have to wait for more new faces.
"We are still looking to add to the squad before the season starts, although there's nothing imminent this week," he said.
"We also still have one or two people on the transfer list and their futures have yet to be determined.
"But we are pleased with the two signings we have made so far and hopefully there can be one or two more of the same sort of calibre by the time the season starts."

“Well it seems we do sign a few crocks, remember when we signed Lambo Robin he was not fit and it took him a season plus to come good. OK, so in hindsight that was a cracking signing but it could have worked out differently. Especially as even he was signed by our beloved board on the cheap against our management team's wishes who wanted Richard Walker out first before we signed Lambo as they were similar in their view yet we ended up by playing them both upfront that season.
Time will tell I guess. What I don't like is all the flamin Hereford players we seem to be linked with right now! Give me strength!
Also, another Q to Mr Higgs:- Dear Mr Higgs, being the only club in League football (that I know of and that's *92* football clubs) that has a "Director of Football" in LL on our bench at each and every match when oh when will our manager Paul Trollope be properly entrusted with the mangers job and appointed a proper "No2" to sit on the bench with him, take pre match warm up etc, etc. ... ???”

“I think we have signed a pup with this one. 102 games in 8 seasons? Sick note has arrived...”
