THIS is the first look at the new home and away kits Bristol Rovers will be wearing next season.

The home shirt – being worn by winger Mustapha Carayol – retains the club's traditional blue and white quarters, although these have been reversed for the new campaign in a return to the more traditional format. Home shorts and socks will be blue.

The away strip – modelled by skipper Matt Gill – will see the team don black shirts with amber piping, black shorts and black socks.

Adult shirts will range from small to 5XL and cost £38, with child sizes priced at £29.

Rovers' commercial director Barry Bradshaw said: "We are delighted with the design of both kits for next season. Thanks to the draw run by the 1883 Sponsors Club, we have two proud local businesses sponsoring our shirts – an opportunity they would not have otherwise had.

"We will be running the draw again later this year, so I would encourage all local businesses to think about taking part, as this could be their names on the shirts next year."

The home shirt will be available to order online this afternoon and should be available to buy in the club shop from the middle of May.

The away kit will be officially launched at the club's annual Fun Day in the summer.

Rovers round off their home campaign this weekend when they face Accrington Stanley at the Memorial Stadium.

“people need to stop complaining about the away kit, i think it would look even better if it had a diagnile yellow stripe like the pirate has on our badge. home kit looks impresive, i like the 80s look with the white stripe on the shorts. cant wait for next season by the way. get MM a longer contract.”

“I can never understand why it's an away kit ~ surely it should be a change kit. It does seem odd that Rovers turn out in green and black quarters against teams that wear red or yellow, surely the traditional blue and white should be worn.”

“I think the shirt's ain't half bad,and the £38 is not in anyway excessive for a replica footy shirt.

ARBIED-City have 48 points after 45 games which this season is good enough to retain their championship status. And after 46 games City could well find themselves with 51points,meaning they may well finish above Barnsley,Notts Forest,Peterborough, so it may well be if anyone, as you say are lucky it is one of those three teams.By the way it is Ashton
