Bristol Rovers switch training to Cribbs' Friends Life facility
Bristol Rovers players will return for pre-season in different surroundings after it was confirmed the club are to move to a new training ground.
Chairman Nick Higgs yesterday announced that the club have left their training base at the South Bristol Sports Centre in Knowle and will move to the Friends Life Sports Ground in Cribbs Causeway.

The chairman went on to say that the move was being made due to the "upgraded" facilities at the new site and that the players will be able to train in greater privacy.
Higgs said: "We would like to thank South Bristol Sports Centre for looking after us for the last two-and-a-half years, but this is a great opportunity to upgrade our training facilities to somewhere more private and closer to the Memorial Stadium.

"The quality of the pitches is fantastic, and we all feel that the club will benefit from these new facilities and the added privacy. We see this as a great step forward for the club and we are looking forward to this new partnership with Friends Life."
McGhee, meanwhile, is on the lookout for a new goalkeeper coach after Carl Emberson left the club yesterday.
Emberson is expected to take up a role as first-team development coach at Luton Town, where he will be reunited with former Rovers' boss Paul Buckle, who was responsible for bringing him to the Memorial Stadium last summer.
The manager is thought to be closing in on his first signing of the summer.
McGhee last week confirmed that he wanted to complete at least one signing before the players report for pre-season tomorrow and was believed close to completing a deal last night.
The player in question is thought to be midfielder Matthew Lund.
