Young striker Josh Klein-Davies has been released by Bristol Rovers.

The 20-year-old former Bristol City trainee has been at the Memorial Stadium for two years and made 10 league appearances.

However, he has not featured for the Pirates this season and has spent time on loan at Blue Square Premier side Lewes and Blue Square South side Bath City.

“Trollope has done a good job at Rovers, yes he makes mistakes but he is learning all the time. As for Rickie, I don't think he is fit and needs to work a lot harder in matches than at present. I do think we need 4-5 new faces this summer and bring in some hungry players (allowing the grossly overpaid players like Phillips to leave). Just like City this summer is the most important for a long time. Time will tell”

    “season after season fighting relegation?

I guess you didn't see Rovers get promoted at Wembley a couple of seasons ago.
Also you haven't noticed that rovers have been safe from relegation for a long time this season.

    2 seasons ago - promoted
last season - avoided the drop (surely this is the main thing to do after promotion)
    this season - mid table

3 years of progression, hardly a bad time is it?”

“i think its time that bristol rovers said goodbye to trollope and lawrence they don't have any faith in youth team players and choose to stick with the same players week in week out who are not good enough to play at this level. what makes it worse is that most of the squad has been here for for a few years now while most youth team players are being shown the door without really being given a chance while while the first team squad spend season after season fighting relegation. so if the first team playerts are not pulling there weight why not give the youth team players a go instead of sticking with same players. rickie lambert is only player in the rovers side that would get in any of the teams in the top six of league two. please higgs sack trollope and bring back ollie or someone who has faith in youth otherwise there no point in us have a youth setup it just seems like trolls has got his mates playing for rovers”
