“Get real - Lambert is 28, and Saints have doubled his salary for a couple of years. He'd be mad not to want that.

Alan Pardew knows that with the points deduction it'll take two years to get his lot out of League 1. Rickie will score many of the goals that will get them there, then he'll probably be in League 2 or the Conference. He's a solid lower league striker, but nothing more. That's why no Championship club put in a serious bid.

How many of the Gasheads complaining now were the same people who gave Rickie stick when he first played for Rovers?

Rovers need to move on, and refresh the squad. Paul Trollope needs to be less cautious and give the two Bens (Hunt and Swallow) a chance in the first team.”

“Lambert's comments just about sums it all up. Southampton's owners and chairman have big plans and ambitions and he's getting double the wages. What is he supposed to do??? Of course he's going to move. BRFC have no ambition, the ground redevelopment is not going to happen and PT and LL will have around £100 to spend on new replacements. Wake up BRFC fans you're been taking for a ride and have been for years.”

“dont like to say it but a lot of these bristol city supporters coming on here are absolutely right. we are a small club with small club ambitions and no it will never change. we will always be looking up at our fellow supporters across the water wishing we were there where they are. i have been a supporter for 50 years and this must go down as one of the saddest days in all that time.
misled about summer signings, misled about the stadium and misled about selling players. being from mangotsfield i would say that they have a nice stadium in cossham street. how long before we are playing there.
the present team although not thoroughbreds are certainly led by donkeys with blinkers on, no vision and no ambition.
now is the time for a complete shake up at the club. please leave messers dunford, higgs and bradshaw”
