Bristol Rovers shirt draw closes at £96,000
Bristol Rovers' shirt sponsorship draw has earned the club a £96,000 cash boost.
The Pirates have sold all but four of the 100 tickets that were on offer to local businesses who are bidding to get their names on the club's home and away shirts next season.

Eddie Large will perform the draw for Bristol Rovers' shirt sponsorship
Rovers offered 100 tickets for sale at £1,000 each and could have flogged the lot – but in the end, they had to settle for 96.
Bristol Rovers stadium manager Ian Holtby, who had organised the competition, explained: "We borrowed the balls that the Football League use for the League Cup draw – but they only had 96 of them. I'm thinking of suing them for £4,000 loss of earnings!
"Seriously, the response has been fantastic and has exceeded our wildest dreams. The whole thing has been a tremendous success and we are absolutely delighted with it."
The draw will take place at the Memorial Stadium tomorrow lunchtime, with comedian Eddie Large drawing out the winning numbers.
