Bristol Rovers are to repeat their three-for-two cut-price ticket offer in the new year to help fans tackle the credit crunch.

And that means supporters who are feeling the financial pinch after Christmas can watch three home games for just £30.

Fans who buy a ticket for the Yeovil Town game on Saturday, January 10 and the Colchester United clash on Saturday, January 24 will be entitled to a free ticket for the Cheltenham Town game on Tuesday, January 27.

The offer only applies to Early Bird tickets, and all three must be purchased at the same time and before 5pm on Friday, January 9.

A supporter who normally pays £15 for an Early Bird ticket in the Blackthorn End will be able to watch all three games for £30 – a saving of £15.

Rovers tried the three-for-two offer during a run of home games in October and sold around 500 tickets under the scheme.

Director Barry Bradshaw said: "As a board we wanted to do something to help our fans through this difficult financial time.

"January is going to be a tough time for people as they pay off their credit cards after Christmas, and we appreciate things are going to be tight.

"We hope that by repeating the three-for-two offer more fans will be able to afford to come and enjoy their football and maybe encourage a few new faces along.

"There are two derbies included in the offer, so we are hoping to get a great atmosphere going and inspire the team to victory."

Match ticket prices for the remainder of the season will remain unchanged, and the recent VAT reduction will be used to fund the three-for-two ticket offer.

The board also want to make sure that season ticket holders are not forgotten during the financial crisis, and have pledged to sell next year's season tickets at a 15 per cent VAT rate – regardless of the increase due in January 2010.

Bradshaw said: "Our season ticket holders are the lifeblood of the club and we do not want them to feel they are being left out when we put on special ticket offers.

"We have decided that we will freeze the VAT on next year's season tickets at 15 per cent no matter what happens to the legislation. We hope that this offer will encourage people to renew their season ticket for the 2009-10 season and continue their support for the club."
