Bristol Rovers expected to complete loan move for QPR striker Tom Hitchcock
Bristol Rovers are expected to complete a deal to sign young QPR striker Tom Hitchcock on loan.
Pirates boss John Ward yesterday confirmed that he was trying to add at least two new faces to his threadbare squad ahead of the New Year's Day clash against Plymouth at the Memorial Stadium and Hitchcock looks likely to become the first after confirming an imminent move on his twitter account.

Hitchcock, 20, has yet to feature for the Premier League side – but played eight games in a short loan spell at Plymouth Argyle last season.
The youngster started his career in the youth ranks at Blackburn Rovers before arriving at Loftus Road and is the son of former Chelsea goalkeeper Kevin Hitchcock.

“and so the New Year loan merry- go- round commences. Even if these guys shape up will they stay or will their parent clubs want them back if so no stability and no continuity. Not wanting to be the NewYear grinch and in the words of the great Gloria Gaynor - we will survive

“A bit like Tom Eaves then fullofgas who played 15 times for Oldham before scoring a league goal (for us). He has never played his parent club either BTW but that did not stop him from making an excellent impact for us. I doubt Hitchcock is the only player to come in to the club anyway. I would expect at least 5-6 more. We have to remember tat for the game tommorow we only have one recognized forward (Richards) so it makes sense to get in a loan forward ASAP! Best of luck Tom!”

“Never scored, never played for QPR. Must have something to be at QPR, but asking a lot for him to get the goals to save us”
