Bristol Rovers fans' views on the win over Gillingham

It wasn't a great game but I am pleased we managed to win again. I think Gillingham are a poor side and you could see why they haven't won away.

I liked what I saw from the new guy, Pat Baldwin, and I think we were a bit better defensively.

I would have liked to see Williams go up front when Dickson went off. I still think there is something missing from us, but it was a fair result.

Martin Iles, Yate

The game was not great, but after losing six on the trot it is nice to see us get back to winning ways in the last couple of games. It is good to see the lads show they are capable of scrapping out a result.

There is still work to do and I would like to see us strengthen the squad if there is money available in January.

Overall, I would say we are moving in the right direction.

Tim Ostler, Weston-super-Mare

I was very pleased we won the game, but I think we made life harder for ourselves than we needed to.

We should have had it wrapped up long before the end but we gave Gillingham a chance to get back in the game with an equaliser.

We were hanging on a bit at the end and I still want to see us do better.

I think we possibly need to get a new striker because Dickson didn't really do it for me and I don't think Duffy is the answer.

Colin Davis, Nailsea

It wasn't too bad, but we are still lacking something. I don't think the two up front are strong enough to hold the ball. I know it's difficult for them because they are good strikers and we have big expectations of them.

I thought Pat Baldwin did well on his debut. He looks pretty strong and has certainly got the mouth to organise us at the back.

That is what you want, because sometimes you need a leader on the pitch to give the others a kick up the bum.

I really like the look of Ben Swallow, and he uses his pace and trickery well to change the game.

Tina Bale, Felton
